Are Prolaty's valuation reports accepted by banks in Tanzania?
Yes. Prolaty's reports are prepared by valuers registered and licensed by the Valuers Registration Board (VRB) of Tanzania and are accepted by major banks and financial institutions for mortgage and lending purposes, including NMB, CRDB, NBC, TIB Development Bank, TADB, Akiba Commercial Bank, UBA, Bank of Africa, Azania Bank, BancABC, Mkombozi Bank, Mwanga Hakika Bank and Tanzania Commercial Bank.
How long does a property valuation take?
For a standard residential or commercial property, Prolaty typically delivers the valuation report within a few business days of inspection. Larger portfolios and plant and machinery valuations are scoped individually.
How much does a property valuation cost in Tanzania?
Fees depend on the type, size and location of the asset and the purpose of the valuation. Prolaty provides a clear written quotation once you submit a valuation request.
What information does Prolaty need to start a valuation?
Typically the property location, type and size, the purpose of the valuation, and any title documents or ownership records. You can attach these when you submit a valuation request.

Which areas of Tanzania does Prolaty cover?
Prolaty provides nationwide coverage from its head office in Dar es Salaam and regional offices in Dodoma, Arusha, Mbeya, Mwanza, Kahama, Shinyanga and Kagera, serving all regions of mainland Tanzania and Zanzibar.
What types of assets can Prolaty value?
Land and buildings, residential, commercial and industrial property, plant and machinery, motor vehicles, furniture and fittings, and special-purpose assets. Prolaty also prepares IPSAS-compliant fixed asset registers.
Can Prolaty help me obtain or transfer a title deed?
Yes. Prolaty's land management team handles title deed acquisition, official searches, land registration, transfer of ownership, conversion and variation of the terms of a Right of Occupancy, and related land advisory work.
Does Prolaty manage rental properties?
Yes. Prolaty offers full property management — tenanting, rent collection, maintenance, service-charge administration and owner reporting — for residential, commercial and mixed-use property. Managed buildings include PSSSF Victoria House, PSSSF Millennium Towers Phase II, NSSF Mafao House and SGR passenger stations.
